Autumn fishermans soup with black beans

Today’s dinner for my and my son Antek I make lovely fish soup for cold autumn’s days.
For my recipe I have use cod, halibut and herring but for your soup you can use any fish what you like. Could be sea fish or river fish but you shouldn’t  mix them together in same dish.

Ingredients:
0,5kg cod filet
0,3 kg halibut filet
0.3 kg herring
2 onions
2 red onion
2 carrots
1 leek
1 yellow onion
5 tbsp tomatoes puree
3tbsp smoke paprika powder
2 tbsp spicy paprika powder
1 tsp cumin seeds
5 tbsp fish sauce
200g black bean
2 bay leafs
3 tbsp Veg bullion
3 tbsp veg oil
1 lemon
2 cloves of garlic

Method:

1.    The night before, soak the black beans in a large pot of cold water. Next day, rinse the beans, cover with 3 cups of fresh water and bring to boil over high heat. Reduce the heat and simmer cover for 1,5 hours.
2.    Chopped carrots, onions, peppers and leek.
3.    In deep soup pan heat vegetable oil, add chopped vegetables and stir time to time for around 7 minutes
4.    Chopped all fishes
5.     1,5l cold water  mix 3tbsp vegetable bullion and when well mix add to soup pan
6.    Add fishes, bay leafs, cumin seeds, fish sauce, smoke and spicy paprika
7.    Add cook black beans and squeeze half lemon and seson with salt and black pepper
8.    Cook all together for 40 minutes
9.    Serve hot with fresh slice bread on side or in a soup.

Enjoy!
